There was a wildfire near the Springs today, which put smoke in the air. Smoke and sunlight can create some amazing effects. As I was driving to work this evening, there was a bright spot with red clouds just over the peak, while the sun was just to the north. I love living here...

I have seen this type of thing here, but did not have much luck with the photos too many power lines in for a good shot
I was able to pull over at one of the few spots where there is a "clear" view--I'm glad I had the time--usually, I'm rushing to work, but that day, I was 45 minutes early!
