End of the Challenge

I had to finish my poems today, and as you can see, it took some chocolate to get done, but I finished. Almost forgot to take a photo, but I got the poems done!

Notice anything missing? Yep, both ladder and AC unit have moved, well, I moved them. Today. I was tired of seeing them, and now that the weather is warming up (notice the green!) I'll have my window open more.

Pushing Spring

The tree out front is blossoming--I know I keep taking shots of it, but maybe at the end of the year, we'll be able to see how it progressed through all the seasons. And "my view" will be coming tomorrow--I ran out of daylight today!

Dara's family has a cool old iron stove in the corner, surrounded by brick walls. Her mom decorates with a lot of copper pots. These ones just looked so happy.

In This Economy

We do what we have to do to make a buck--or .40 at least! This is a working soda machine that sits on some person's driveway down the street from a friend of mine. It's so lovely and random, it deserved a spot in this project.

Good Friday

We held our first ever Good Friday service at PRC tonight. The first half hour was a mixture of music and scripture reading. The second half was time to move to stations where you could through various mediums. I organized the creative room, where we drew, molded, colored, and wrote. One of the other stations was this cross, where you could nail "your sins"--it was rather haunting to hear the sound of pounding nails--

Wisdom

Will and Kayla helped Shelly pick out my birthday present. Her name is Wisdom, and they liked her because she is reading, and because she has brown hair, just like me. I love it! Thanks Myers!

I haven't worked at the mall on a Sunday for almost a year. But with my promotion, I'll have to work a few Sunday's a month. I went this morning to train. On my way to church, I snapped this shot of the mall sign and Pikes Peak.

Movie Night

Dara and I went to see Watchmen. We were there a bit early, and the theater was pretty empty. We thought we might be by ourselves, but several guys and one couple showed up. Note to self--seeing "guy" movies on a weeknight might be a good way to meet guys :P
