Well, the snow is gone. The ladder and AC unit are not. One out of three isn't bad! And for those who want to see how the year has progressed, look here for last month's shot out my window.
I took Kayla to her dance class this morning. They have safety glass in the window, so getting a good shot was very hard. But I really like this one--love how the teacher is a blur, and everything is a bit off. Love it.
I went to the library today. We have a terrace where you can sit in the spring. Even from inside, it's still a spectacular view. Hard to read when there is such beauty at hand.
I donated blood today. And before you yell at me for grossing you out, consider this: I also took a picture WITHOUT the gauze covering the needle in my arm. I spared you--
This one got today's slot because of the interesting look--a result of my camera being set to indoor light and this being outside. Plus, who can resist that face?
Hot chocolate and a blueberry muffin. Yep, it was almost perfect. (If the fire had been going, THEN it would have been perfect, but hey, you can't have it all!)
This is the tree outside my house (that is NOT my house in the pic, though). Only in the winter can you see how many branches it has--going every which direction. The squirrels love it because they can scurry across the house and jump into the tree.
I had dinner at a favorite Mexican restaurant tonight. This was the shot taken through the glass divider. I love how some things are clear, some are doubled, some are just reflections.
This is my memory board--it has comics I like, pictures of friends, and two lovely signs. One is from Miss Pottenger, the other from Miss Korn. I have awesome friends!
We had Ladies Night Out for church tonight--we ate dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. I was sitting with three other former waitresses, so it was inevitable that we would pre-bus our own table. Some habits die hard.
Somebody didn't clean his room up to "mom-inspection" standards. Someone didn't complete his punishment yesterday. SO somebody had to do double punishment today. Which meant copying the 10 "clean room" standards 100 times.
I came out of the mall just as the sun was sinking towards Pikes Peak. And since I had two votes for this one (over a cool flag pic, that will likely go on my other blog), here it is--for your viewing enjoyment!
I heard somewhere that you should "shoot from the hip"--try putting the camera at hip level and take some shots. Well, my hip is currently sitting in a booth at Panera, and this is what I got when I put the camera at that level. Notice the underside of the table in the upper left-hand corner.
